We’re pleased to share that the ACI Foundation has received $10,500 through the Capital Regional District’s Grow Forward Grant to support sector capacity building through the Arts Spaces Forum and Art Proxima.
This is our second year receiving Grow Forward funding, with this year’s award more than doubling last year’s support. The Grow Forward program itself has expanded following the success of its pilot year — a welcome investment in the capacity of our region’s arts and cultural sector.
For us, capacity building means creating opportunities for people working across the arts and community sectors to build connections, share knowledge, develop practical skills, and better understand the systems that shape the spaces they work in.
The Arts Spaces Forum brings the sector together around the challenges and opportunities of arts and community infrastructure, while Art Proxima creates an ongoing monthly space for conversation, learning, and connection throughout the year.
